Eric Hagen, Head of Sugar asked to be part of the team that would cover the massive structure. 35 tons of sugar were used to cover the milled foam structure. A combination of simple dumping, a custom shoots, and slathering on with our hands. We used a concrete mixer to create the sugar mix and then hoisted buckets on multiple lifts. Towards the end of the project, Tim Daly and others on the team decided to create a small momento for Kara. We made a small rubber squeek toy of the sphinx. I was in charge of milling a small version out of foam. Later it was casted by Tim.
